What is silvervine?
Silvervine (Actinidia polygama), also called matatabi, is a climbing plant from the mountains of eastern Asia and a relative of kiwifruit. Its stems and fruit galls set off the same kind of happy response many cats have to catnip: rolling, rubbing, licking, drooling and bursts of zoomies.
My cat ignores catnip. Will silvervine work?
There's a good chance. In a 2017 study of 100 cats, about one in three didn't respond to catnip, and most of those cats did respond to silvervine. No plant works on every cat, which is why our catnip and silvervine products come with our My Cat Ignored It promise.
Is silvervine safe?
Silvervine is used the same way as catnip and is generally considered safe for healthy cats. Offer it in moderation, supervise chewing, and throw away small broken pieces. If your cat has a health condition, check with your vet first.
Why doesn't my kitten react?
Many kittens don't respond to catnip or silvervine until they're several months old. Try again when they're a little older.
How long does a reaction last?
Usually just a few minutes. Afterward, most cats lose interest for a while before they'll respond again, so short sessions work best.
Play & safety
How much should I play with my indoor cat?
Two short play sessions a day is a good routine for most indoor cats. Wand toys work best: let your cat stalk, chase and pounce, and end every session with a catch.
Are your toys safe?
Choose toys that suit your cat's size and play style, supervise play, and remove any toy that's damaged. Put wand toys away after play, since cats can swallow string and feathers. No toy is indestructible.

Why did my order arrive in more than one box?
Items from different suppliers ship separately, so a mixed order can arrive in a few packages, each with its own tracking.
When should I order for the holidays?
Order early. Check the delivery estimate shown at checkout, and allow extra time in December when carriers are busiest.
What's your return policy?
Unused items can be returned within 30 days. Opened catnip and silvervine products can't be returned for a refund, but they're covered by our My Cat Ignored It promise. See our refund policy for details.
